The House of Representative’s Wounded Warrior Program currently has Fellowships available in the following cities: Edinburg(TX), Jacksonville(FLA), Houston(TX), Hemet(CA), El Paso(TX), San Antonio(TX), Orange(TX), Deer Park(TX), Pago Pago(Samoa), Vancouver(WA), Traverse City(MI), Morristown(TN), Greenville(NC), and Washington, DC.

Job Summary: Fellowships are limited to veterans desiring to serve a two-year paid Congressional Fellowship as part of the House of Representatives Wounded Warrior Program. Selected Fellows will work directly for a Member of Congress as part of their staff. Fellowships are located in either a Congressional District office or in Washington, D.C.

Job Duties: Duties will vary depending upon the specific requirements of each Member office. Said duties may include, but are not limited to: working as a constituent services representative helping local constituents resolve issues with federal agencies; serving as a liaison to local Veterans Service Organizations (VSO); attending local events and meetings on behalf of your Member of Congress; and performing legislative work. Specific duties for each Member office will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation: $38,853 – $51,312 a year.

Requirements: Fellowships are limited to veterans who meet ALL of the following requirements:

· served on active duty in the last five years; and
· have a minimum 20% disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs (this requirement is waived if the veteran has a Purple Heart); and
· must have a terminal rank of E3 or O-3 and below; and
· must have an Honorable Discharge.

The above requirements may not be waived. Reservist are eligible to apply but veterans with a 20 military retirement are not eligible.
